South Carolina releases travel roster for Florida

Which South Carolina Gamecocks didn’t travel to Gainesville this weekend for the Florida game?

Senior offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson, who’s pictured with the story, did indeed make the trip down to The Swamp. The complete travel roster can be viewed right here.

Jahmar Brown, the sophomore linebacker/safety was questionable with a knee injury, according to coach Will Muschamp. However, Brown did not travel to Gainesville. Several other injured players didn’t make the trip.

Jaheim Bell (knee)

Sherrod Greene (hip)

Alex Huntley (ankle)

Trai Jones (ankle)

Rosendo Louis (quad)

The players listed below did not dress out for the season-opener against Tennessee. And they’re not with the team for the Florida game.

Jalen Brooks (transfer)

Devontae Davis

Gilber Edmond

Hank Manos

Makius Scott

Chad Terrell

Mike Wyman

Freshmen defensive backs Dominick Hill and O’Donnell Fortune, neither of whom dressed out last week, are both in Florida for Week 2.

During Muschamp’s appearance on ‘Carolina Calls,’ went into detail about Florida’s offensive personnel.

“Extremely efficient offensively,” Muschamp said. “You look at the experience, you’ve got four out of five returning starters on the offensive line. They’re huge up front. You’ve got four out of five seniors. Reese transferred from Mississippi State and obviously played for Dan (Mullen). It’s the same scheme, system. They log a bunch of snaps.

“Very few busts. Very few mistakes up front. You’ve got a senior quarterback who I’ve got tremendous respect four, has really great pocket presence. Moves himself in the pocket, bides time. Always has his eyes down the field, to be able to throw the ball, a very accurate, deliverable ball.

“Kyle Pitts is a matchup issue at the tight end position. He’s a receiver playing tight end. Give him credit, he will stick his face in there. He will tie up a block enough in the run game and protection in the passing game. Kadarius Toney, (Trevon) Grimes, (Jacob) Copeland, they’ve got three really solid backs, in my opinion. Very experienced unit and a talented unit, led by a very good quarterback, in my opinion.”
