The Gamecocks are looking for their third straight win while the Tigers are hoping to even their record at 2-2.

You can keep up with game updates and the scoring summary here.

FIRST QUARTER

LSU opens the game by taking pressure off freshman quarterback TJ Finley by leaning heavily on the run in the first drive. It paid off. LSU took almost eight minutes off the clock before Finley finished the series with a score.

Carolina gets it right back taking advantage of a defensive miscue and Kevin Harris goes 45 yards. Lots of running tonight.

But LSU has controlled this clock. They’ve held the ball for 12 minutes keeping the Carolina defense on the field.

SECOND QUARTER

Finley is starting to look a little more comfortable after one quarter and LSU is continuing to hold on to the ball keeping Carolina’s defense on the field.

Carolina will have to find ways to get off the field to give the offense a chance.

Israel Mukuamu helped Carolina with a big takeaway. The interception led to a 45-yard Parker White field goal. The Gamecocks would have loved to get seven there, but those three points aren’t bad either.

However, Marshall continued to be a problem for the Carolina defense. He scored his second touchdown of the game in the quarter.

LSU’s defense got involved in the scoring with a pick-six by Eli Ricks to push the Tigers up three scores.
